Functional Anatomy & Physiology

While it may not sound sexy everything starts with understanding the body. But rather than giving you boring textbook definitions of origins and insertions we will focus on what truly matters;

  • How movement dysfunction negatively impacts athleticism, movement and performance
  • Understand anatomy to create a “movement map” and how to apply this to write effective programmes for your clients
  • Understand energy systems and their impact on performance body comp and fat loss goals

Assessment Process

The initial assessment sets the tone of everything else you do sio in this section you will learn exactly how we start things off.

  • What questions to ask not only what the goals are but why they’re important to them
  • What assessment should we do to write effective programmes
  • How to take someone from prospect to paying client
  • Learn our 3 step process to assessment and most importantly you’ll know what exercises to give to your client in their first programme

MODULE

Nutrition

We know what works, because we coach real people every single day.

The research is clear: To help people get the results they want, the best place to focus is on their nutrition. But, understanding nutrition science alone isn’t enough to get people the results they deserve. It only matters if you also know how to help someone change their behavior.

  • More than just science – you’ll learn how to apply what you learn in a practical setting with your very first client and see what it takes to get results
  • Deepen your knowledge – understand how to change your approach through real life case study’s so you have a wider knowledge base
  • Real practical experience – Work with your first client from day one so you gain real experience that prepares you for your career.

  • Understanding the stress response to training and how this impacts your clients programmes design and training.
  • from how to coach and cue specific lifts, to ways you can seamlessly progress or regress someone based on how they’re moving.
  • Understanding and application of the fundamental training principles

Art of coaching

Here we work through 3 areas that are of critical importance for all trainers and coaches:

  1. Standards – Choosing safe and effective exercise for your client
  2. Communication – Leading the session like a professional
  3. Coaching – Improving Performance, adapting exercises to suit your client

Coaching Exercises

Get down to the nitty gritty details live in person by actually coaching, making mistakes and learning in real time so you gain the confidence you need in your ability to coach people. with regards to coaching, and give you the tools necessary to make a massive impact on how your people move and feel.

Movement Models, Progressions/Regressions, and Coaching Library

We  break it all down for you – from how to coach and cue specific lifts, to ways you can seamlessly progress or regress someone based on how they move

Then we work on giving you enough practical experience on the gym floor so you have the opportunity to coach people and learn through doing.

You will be pushed out of your comfort zone daily. You will be put into scenarios you have to coach your way out of.

This is all done in our LIVE GYM you must be prepared to coach from day one on the course as they are all fully practical.

80 Hours practical coaching experience

Think of it kinda like your first job placement. You’re going to coach in our gym with clients for 80 hours minimum until you’ve begun to gain the confidence you need from doing and experiencing live coaching sessions where you have to think on the spot adapt where neccesary and lead your client from start to finish of one hour sessions.

These sessions will be graded on 1. standards being met 2. Communications being effective and 3. Coaching; Your ability to meet the aims of the aims of the session and coach effectively.
